Grown high. Grounded in where it comes from. In the mountains surrounding Medellín, smallholder farmers grow this coffee between 1,300 and 1,500 meters above sea level. The region's volcanic loam provides the foundation for four distinct coffee varieties, Castillo, Caturra, Colombia and Typica, to develop their character before harvest. Once picked, the coffee is fully washed before being carefully dried in solar dryers, protecting it from Colombia's rain while allowing the beans to dry slowly and consistently. Roasted to a balanced medium, the result is a smooth cup built around chocolate, lifted by dried orange and finished with a subtle berry sweetness.
